COPYEDITING
For a closer look at grammar, spelling, organization, accuracy of references and facts, choose my copyediting service. I will also rewrite passages for clarity and sense, all while preserving your authorial voice.
PROOFREADING
I offer a range of proofreading services to fit your specific needs. From checking a completed document for typos to a more thorough grammar, spelling, and format check.
PRE-EDITING
My pre-editing service is designed to help authors prepare their manuscripts for submission to scholarly journals. I will substantively edit your manuscript for grammar, content, organization, and clarity. I will also format your manuscript to journal-specific guidelines.
EDITORIAL CONSULTATION
Do you have an idea of what you want to write but are not sure how to say it or where to start? I offer one-on-one consultation to help you get started, articulate your ideas, and provide strategies for overcoming writer’s block. Editorial consultation is ideal for students who need help with papers, beginning writers who would like to discuss the writing process, and experienced writers who need a sounding board. Consultation sessions are conducted either by phone or e-mail. Face-to-face consultations are also available; contact me for details. If you would like ongoing consultation, please contact me to discuss a consultation package.
WRITING
If you have an idea but don’t have the time or ability to put it into words, choose my writing service. My goal is to get your idea into words while preserving your authorial style. We can collaborate and work one-on-one to articulate your ideas and get them into writing. Or, you can provide the background and I will do the writing. Writing and editorial consultation packages are available for writers who would like both. (Note: I do not offer writing services for students. If you are a student and need writing help, I will provide consultation with your instructor's approval.)
TYPING
I also offer typing services to those who would prefer a professional typist to prepare their documents. This is ideal for writers who prefer to handwrite their documents, don’t have the time to type, or who don’t have word processing software. Documents can be typed and saved in Word or WordPerfect format, as well as PDF format.
COURIER SERVICE
Do you need your document hand-delivered to your home or office? If you live in the metropolitan Washington, DC area (Washington, DC, Maryland, Northern Virginia), you can use my courier service. Fees for this service depend on your location.
